The Officina Stellare RH200AT is finally installed and ready for image capture. This scope will collect 1.8X more light then the previously mounted SVS130 f5 astrograph. Coupled to the Trius 814M camera, the RH200AT will capture a FOV size of 72 x 57 arcmins (or 1.2 deg x 0.95 deg) at 600mm focal length and an f-ratio of F3. Mounted on top of the scope is the Nikon full frame d700 attached to the Sigma 85 mm f1.4 prime lens. For first light, the scope will be pointed to the constellation of Ursa Major to capture the warped S-shaped galaxy NGC 3718 and its companion spiral galaxy NGC 3729. Also contained in the FOV is the Hickson Group 56, which is a group of 5 galaxies. This will be an ambitious first light considering that the apparent magnitude of NGC3718 and NGC 3729 are 10.61 and 11.
